Edward Glyn joined the management team at Calastone in January 2014 to lead global client strategy. Calastone is the largest global funds transaction network, connecting many of the world’s leading financial organisations. Over 1,400 customers in 34 countries and territories benefit from Calastone’s services, processing over 7 million messages and £80 billion of transactions each month. Edward has spent the last 20 years leading teams and delivering game-changing, high value corporate deals in funds distribution, securities servicing and financial technology. He has particular expertise in platform distribution, securities market infrastructures and the asset management sector, together with their associated technologies.
Prior to joining Calastone, Edward spent nine years at SWIFT, most recently heading up the 100m transaction funds business across EMEA and leading the regional sales team managing SWIFT’s investment management, custody and asset servicing offerings. Before SWIFT, Edward spent a number of years in key commercial and strategic roles at Investia - former parent of JPMorgan FundsHub, ERI Bancaire, Thomson Financial and Tajan.
Outside of Calastone, and a busy family life with two young children, Edward also sits on the board of an investment management and corporate finance boutique and collects rare watches and Scotch whisky. He is heavily involved in the charity sector and acts as a trustee or board member for several charitable organisations.

Billy Burnside is Head of Platform Development & E-Commerce at Aviva UK Insurance where he is responsible for Aviva’s adviser and customer platform propositions. Billy has developed a number of award winning online propositions during his time at Aviva including Aviva For Advisers and AME (Auto-enrolment Manager for Employees). More recently Billy led the development of Aviva’s direct-to-customer platform which launched in May 20115. He joined the company in September 2007. Billy is a Director of Aviva Wrap UK Limited and a Director of Aviva Pension Trustees UK Limited.
Prior to this role, Billy was Head of E-Commerce at Standard Life. He joined the company in January 2001 as IFA E-Commerce Manager and was responsible for Standard Life's intermediary e-commerce strategy including the development of their intermediary extranet www.adviserzone.com and Fundzone platform.
With over 25 years industry experience, Billy has worked in a variety of financial services roles throughout his career. Initially an IFA Consultant with Friends Provident, he moved to National Mutual to perform a variety of marketing roles, including developing their e-commerce solutions for the intermediary market. Billy later returned to Friends Provident as their E-Media Marketing Manager, setting up and running their intermediary e-commerce services.
Billy is married with 3 children and lives in Scotland.
Global Head of Distribution Operations
Andrew brings with him more than 18 years’ experience working in the Financial Services Industry having held a number of senior positions in Deloitte, Investec Bank, JP Morgan, Close Brothers, Barclays and Fidelity. Prior to joining Fidelity, his most recently held positions included Managing Director of Close Fund Services Ltd and Global Head of Wealth Services at Barclays.
He joined Fidelity in 2014 as Head of Platform Shared Services and Change where his primary responsibility was the execution of Fidelity’s multi-year strategic programme. Andrew has since moved into Fidelity’s Global Business Operations where he is now responsible for Distribution Operations functions globally. He is also a Non-Executive director of TeX, a not-for-profit organisation focused on setting standards and governance for transfers and re-registrations in the industry.
Head of Platform Proposition, Adviser & Wealth Manager Propositions
Ross Dunlop is responsible for Standard Life’s adviser facing digital propositions including Adviserzone and Wrap. Ross has 32 years industry experience holding senior roles in Distribution and Marketing. As a member of Origo’s Shareholder Advisory Committee he has worked extensively to deliver the industry standards, legal framework and services to integrate Standard Life’s platforms with financial advisers’ systems.
Ross also played a key role influencing the delivery of the Options pensions transfer service in 2008 and more recently Origo’s Integration Hub developed to simplify the task of integrating multiple providers and adviser software firms. A member of the OIX Pension Finder Group, whose white paper in early 2016 helped initiate the Pensions Dashboard project, Ross has represented Standard Life on the Pensions Dashboard working group from its formation in 2016. More recently he has also been a member of the industry Transfers and Re-Registration Improvement Group.
Technology Director at NEST (National Employment Savings Trust)
Paul is a senior change manager with 25 years working in Information Technology and most recently 16 years experience of Financial Services in Buy and Sell side technology functions within Goldman Sachs. He has had responsibility for strategy, implementation and maintenance of some key areas (including Electronic Trading, Asset Management, Broker dealer Operations) building highly effective local teams to work in partnership with their global peers.
Although Paul has managed large teams he maintains his technical knowledge and project management skills and is equally at home in strategy meetings and design reviews. Specialties include: people management, project management, in-house development, UNIX/Windows Technology, working with vendors, off-shoring, production support and finance sector knowledge.
