To drive our business plan and growth across the marketplace, Criterion is recruiting two new pivotal roles.

These appointments will build our strength, which will continue to help us as we drive through the collaborative work necessary to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving industry. Commercial Director reporting directly to the Managing Director. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth. Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for Executive and Board.
  • Develop and lead all marketing activity and develop communications strategy, both traditional and digital.
  • Understanding the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met; use client feedback and insight to improve customer experience.
  • Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing), unearthing new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long term partnerships.
  • Devise public affairs strategy – building a political contact programme and, if necessary, seek the support of key decision-makers in Holyrood, Westminster and Brussels.
  • Define and lead the brand, marketing and business development strategies ensuring brand consistency and alignment of corporate values.

 Marketing Manager reporting to the Commercial Director. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department.
  • Developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives. Co-ordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities.
  • Creation and publication of all marketing and PR materials in line with marketing plans. Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results. Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity, and analysing potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing.

About Criterion
Criterion was formed for the industry in July 2017, as an independent, not-for-profit industry body for Standards and Governance. It was originally part of Origo Services Ltd and has been publishing standards for almost 25 years. 2018 will see Criterion continue to drive collaboration across the industry with the energies and focus prioritised across a number of industry-wide activities, including pensions dashboard, distributed ledger technologies and improved pensions transfer and re-registrations.
