Last week, a team from Criterion took on the challenge of cycling and walking 95 miles alongside the historic Hadrian’s Wall, which runs across Northern England.

Embarking on this three-day journey, the team aimed to raise money and awareness for Edinburgh-based charity, Waverley Care. Waverley Care provide support for people living with HIV, and recently launched its Get to Zero campaign which aims to help Scotland become one of the first countries to reach zero new transmissions by 2030.

The challenge commenced with a 40-mile cycle from Bowness-on-Solway to Haltwhistle, followed by a 20-mile hike to Chollerford on day two, and finally, a 35-mile cycle to the finish line in Wallsend.

The efforts of the team and the generosity of donors have resulted in over £5,000 raised for Waverley Care, smashing the original target of £3,000. We are thrilled to announce that Criterion will match this amount, bringing the grand total to £10,000

This achievement is a testament to the dedication of the team and the importance of supporting initiatives like Waverley Care's Get to Zero campaign. It not only contributes to improving the lives of those living with HIV, but also brings us closer to a future with zero new transmissions.

The team extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved for their incredible efforts in making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Billy Burnside, Managing Director, Criterion:
