Governance update
Process and Standards Group (PSG)
The PSG last met virtually on 8 November to consider outcomes from its annual project prioritisation exercise. A programme of activity was agreed with the Group and accepted by the SaGE at its September meeting.

The Group’s next plenary meeting is on 7 February 2024.
Standards Technical Architecture Group (STAG)
Criterion is looking to establish a meeting with the STAG to discuss API architecture and implementations.
Full details will be shared with the STAG in early 2024.
Standards projects
Occupation Codes List Update
Update Implementation Group
Supporting industry adoption of the revised occupation codes standard used in quotations and new business processes.
The latest Occupation Code Lists are available here.
A meeting was held in December 2023 to review current development plans.
Future Milestones - Q1 2024
Further liaison with the Group to track progress towards implementation.
Group Risk Quotes and Placement
Project to develop Standards for Group Risk Quotes (GRQ); similar Re-Pricing and Rate Review processes; and Placement.
The GRQ Standards JSON and OpenAPI Standards for GLA for New Business, Rate Review and Re-Pricing Draft A Standards were published in December 2023.
The GRQ GLA Draft A OpenAPI and JSON Standards were published to the Working Group and a meeting has been arranged for a review.
Some analysis for the Placement process has been carried out internally with a domain model produced. Analysis into the next set of activity has begun.
Future Milestones - January
- A review meeting to review the GRQ GLA Draft A OpenAPI and JSON Standards has been arranged for 31 January.
- Feedback is being obtained from members of the Working Group to assess future development activity.
Protection Policy Retention
Develop standards supporting communication to advisers and other distributors of events in relation to protection policies that might put at risk continuing cover.
Progress
- Updated Business Requirements Document issued for sign-off.
Future Milestone - January
- Candidate Design Document to be issued.
- Meeting to hold initial discussion of Candidate Design document.
BAU Change Requests
Ongoing activity in relation to maintenance of current Standards via change management process.
Progress
- Budget 2023 impact analysis continues. Draft list of potential CRs resulting from abolition of Lifetime Allowance (LTA) prepared.
Future Milestone - January
- Hold 1-to-1 meetings with industry participants to assist understanding of impact of LTA removal;
- Seek governance agreement of approach to any CRs relating to abolition of LTA.
